SAL & Emirates SkyCargo Extend Cooperation with Renewed Ground Handling Agreement

The Saudi Arabian Logistics Company SAL has announced that it has signed a Cargo Ground Handling agreement with leading air cargo carrier, Emirates SkyCargo. SAL works with many of the leading names in the global logistics industry.

SAL’s CEO, Omar Hariri commented: “The renewal of our agreement with Emirates SkyCargo will lead to positive results by enhancing the flow of cargo operations at all main stations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We take pride in this partnership which will boost trade into and out of the Kingdom and through our airports where we have all logistic capabilities and resources including equipment and manpower to serve our mutual strategic objectives.”

Hariri also highlighted the long track record of cooperation between Emirates SkyCargo and ground handling division at Saudia Cargo prior to the privatization of the sector following which SAL has taken over all ground handling duties at all main airports in the Kingdom.“

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a priority market for Emirates SkyCargo and we have a strong working relationship with SAL. Through the extension of our cargo ground handling agreement, we look forward to continuing our partnership and offering enhanced and value added logistics offerings to our customers in the market,” said Nabil Sultan, Divisional Senior Vice President for Cargo at Emirates. “We are confident that our cargo operations in the market will continue seamlessly thanks to the unique capabilities offered by SAL.” he added.

SAL provides premium ground handling services for multiple airlines at Saudi Arabia’s local airports and logistic support with cargo chain solutions. The company also connects all means of transportation with local airports to make a larger contribution to vision 2030 and transform the Kingdom into a global logistic hub.
